The Top-Performing Nissans of 2016

There are so many different types of vehicle in the world. If you know what you’re looking for, and if you’re willing to do some research, you can probably find something that is pretty close to your dream car. Base models can be customized. Paint jobs can be commissioned. There’s a world of possibilities out there. But the first step is determining what is important to you when you’re shopping for a car. What is going to be your top priority?

Let’s get the ball rolling by thinking about some questions: What is it that you look for in a car? Are you looking for reliability or speed? Safety? Appearance? If you asked me, I’d tell you I’m looking for performance and style. I am looking for a beefy engine that can get my car moving fast. If you say you only want the best of the best, then you’re speaking my language!

In this post, I’m going to introduce you to some of the top-performing Nissans that are on the market today. These cars have terrific handling and are powered by some of the most powerful engines on the market. Buckle up!

Nissan GT-R

It may not get very good gas mileage—a mere 22 highway miles per gallon—but boy does it pack some power! This luxury sports car boasts incredible power and acceleration and precise cornering ability. Its top speed is nearly 200 miles per hour, and it can blast from zero to sixty in only three seconds! You are probably drooling by now. One drawback for you might be that this car can cost between $100,000 and $150,000.

Nissan Maxima

The ever-popular Maxima may be a spacious sedan, but it has some of the characteristics of a sports car. Its V6 engine and continuously variable transmission (CVT) make it powerful and smooth. Along with its competitive performance come some of the best safety ratings in its class. Best of all, you can get this car for around $30,000.

Nissan 370Z

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: the Nissan Z series contains some of favorite all-time vehicles. If I could write about these cars every day, I would, but I think my readers might get bored. What you get with the 370Z is a hearty V6 engine, an exceptionally smooth ride, and some of the best handling on the market. This agile, sporty car doesn’t have the best gas mileage (26mpg on the highway) or a lot of storage space, but it is a beauty! It also comes in a Roadster version with a convertible soft top. Its price ranges from $30,000 to $50, 000.

Nissan Juke

The newest and most moderately priced ($20,000 – $30,000) car on the list is the Nissan Juke. This subcompact SUV has a unique body style and is powered by a turbocharged 4-cylinder engine. The most notable characteristic of the Juke is its ability to shift between three different driving modes: eco, normal, and sport. In the eco setting, the Juke gets around 32 mpg on the highway. In sport mode, it offers heightened control, especially for an SUV, due to its subcompact size. This car will fit in tight parking spaces and can turn on a dime.

Now that you know a little something about the top performing Nissans of 2016, the rest is up to you. What’s your priority? Are you looking for something sporty or something with better fuel economy? Maybe you’re looking for a balance of performance, comfort, and storage. Whatever you decide, if you choose a Nissan, you’re making a great choice.
